YFS’s Lin Woods teaches children about diversity

Hello!

Thank you for your support of all of my media entertainment work with Young, Fly & Saved and The Inspired Company.

I wanted to let you know that I have written my first children’s book, Kenny Can: “Don’t Judge Me.”

It is a life-lesson book about a young boy, Kenny Can, who befriends a homeless boy, Jacob on the playground. Kenny initially judges Jacob because of his clothes and appearance. Once Jacob shares his story about how his mom lost job and then their home and how this led to him being homless, a chord is struck between the two and Kenny learns the life lesson of looking beyond a person’s outward appearance to embrace the true person within.  It’s a perfect tool to teach children ages 4–8 about diversity and accepting the difference in others, especially in this economy.
